Travelling independently in your 30s

Hi, I’m Julie. I’m a born and bred Londoner in her 30s who didn’t go abroad until the age of 20 and has been making up for it ever since. I’m still London-based but like to see myself as a citizen of the world.

I’ve created this blog to connect with others who love to travel independently, meet amazing people along the way and have awesome experiences. I’ve recently discovered that I’m a ‘flashpacker’ and would like to find out whether others identify with this concept.

Along the way I’ll share what I’ve learnt from my past experiences and keep you posted on my plans for my next big trip. My ultimate aim is to establish a ‘location independent’ lifestyle that enables me to visit at least a hundred countries over my life time.

I’ve joined Natalie Sisson’s ’30 day blog challenge’ to get me started and keep me on track.

  1. I too am in my thirties and longing to go travelling. Its great to see that travelling isn’t just something you can do in your twenties. Good look with the 30 day challenge. i’m finding that really helps.

  2. Hi Louise – although most travellers you’ll find in a hostel are still in their 20s, you’ll definitely meet other 30-somethings and some who are much older. If you’re longing to travel you should definitely do it! Let me know if you have any specific questions.
